Check the account that owns the game
Open the storefront where you bought MW4 and sign in to the linked Activision account. Confirm the edition and the release time shown in your library.
Install the mode you want
Update Call of Duty, then check its content manager for the MW4 packs you need. Installing Campaign alone does not install Multiplayer.
Finish updates before joining
Let downloads, launch updates and any shader preparation finish. If the game remains locked after your store's release time, restart the launcher or console and check your license and installed content.

Which region should I select?
Use the release region associated with your game purchase. Your browser's time zone is selected when it matches a listed region; check it against your storefront. Changing your device clock or selecting a region here does not change your entitlement.
When can I preload MW4?

Does campaign or DMZ early access unlock Multiplayer?
Early access is mode-specific. Campaign, DMZ and the full multiplayer launch have separate access conditions. Check your edition and its official benefits rather than treating an earlier download or early-access window as full-game access.
The timer says Released. Why can I not play?
Check the release time in the store where you own MW4, your linked accounts, installed mode packs and pending updates. Restart your launcher or console to refresh access. The countdown cannot detect license issues, maintenance or server outages.
