Find the original Two-Minute Drill game

Two-Minute Drill is a free daily football strategy game at nfl2mindrill.com. You take charge of a real NFL game situation, with its score, clock, field position and timeouts. Choose your calls rather than controlling a player with a joystick.

The daily challenge gives everyone the same starting situation. Survivor strings together random real fourth quarters: win to continue, lose and your run ends. The original site also lists Pro; check its current access terms there.

How to play your first drive

Open the original game, choose Daily and read the starting situation before pressing Play. Check whether you need a touchdown, a field goal or simply to protect a lead.

Choose Run, Pass, RPO or Trick, then select a specific play. On passing plays, inspect receiver routes and select your target. When available, tempo, timeouts, spikes, kneel-downs and field goals let you manage the clock.

A good call can still have a bad result

The game grades decisions by estimated win chance before the play result. It compares your choice with alternatives through simulations. A completion is not automatically a good decision, and an unsuccessful play is not automatically a bad one.

Green means the best option or within 0.5 percentage points of it; yellow is within 2, orange within 5, and red more than 5 points behind. The daily score is a percentile against simulated NFL play-callers, separate from the day’s player ranking.

Before you call the next play

01

Read the situation

Check score, down, distance, field position, time and remaining timeouts together.

02

Decide what you need

A field goal and a touchdown require different field position. Protecting a lead requires a different plan again.

03

Treat time as a resource

Use the clock tools offered by the game. A spike stops the clock but costs a down.

04

Review the decision

Use the call grade to learn. One sampled play result does not prove that a strategy is always right.

Two Minute Drill game FAQ

Where can I play online?

The original game is at nfl2mindrill.com. Use the play button above to open its daily mode. This HY8BIT page is a guide; the game runs on the original site.

Is Two-Minute Drill free?

The original site describes it as a free daily football game. Pro is listed separately; check the original site for its current features and access conditions.

Does everyone get the same daily game?

Yes. Daily provides one shared starting scenario per day. Outcomes can differ because your calls and sampled play results can differ.

Can I play more after the daily challenge?

Survivor offers consecutive random real fourth quarters. Win to keep going; one loss ends your run.

Is the score the same as win probability?

No. Win probability estimates your chance to win from a game state. The final daily score compares your decisions with simulated NFL play-callers; the player leaderboard is a separate comparison.

Is it an official NFL game?

No. The original site describes an independent fan-made game with no NFL affiliation. Its data comes from public nflverse datasets.
